Hubungan Pemberian ASI dan Susu Formula dengan Tingkat Dehidrasi pada Bayi yang Diare Usia 0-6 Bulan di Puskesmas Martapura

Abstract
According to Household Health Survey (SKRT) ministry of health of the republic of Indonesia in 2000, causes of infant mortality is 10% because of diaarhea. One cause of diarrhea in infants because infants who have been given food and drink other then breast milk before the age of 6 months. The purpose of this study was to determine if there is a relationship. Breastfeeding and infant formula with a rate of diarrheal dehydration in infants aged 0-6 months in clinic martapura months from March to May 2010. This study used analytical observational cross-sectional approach, the sampling using a purposive sampling. Researchers in collecting data directy distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Then the data obstained were processed and analyzed using Fisher’s exact Test. From Fisher’s exact Test was obtained in an breastfeeding with a = 0,05 and r = 0,001 so that, r< a so that Ho is rejected, then there is exclusive breast feeding relationship with the level of diarrheal dehydration in infants aged 0-6 months and on formula that diarrheal dehydration in infants aged 0-6 months and on feeding with a = 0,05 and r = 0,001, r< a so that Ho is rejected, so there is correlation with the level of infant formula that diarrheal dehydration in infants 0-6 months of age at the public health center Martapura
