Pengaruh Pemberian Quercetin Terhadap Profil Lipid (Triasil-Gliserol) Pada Tikus Wistar Jantan (Rattus Norvegicus) Yang Diberi Diet Aterogenik
One of the primary factor which cause of coronary heart disease is hiperlipidemia. The condition of hiperlipidemia is increase of lipid serum, not cholesterol only but also triglycerides and the reduction of HDL. The height concentration of triglycerides in the blood related to the atherosclerosis process. Quercetin as which has properties to reduce the lipid absorption and to increase the excretion, seems to decrease the triglycerides in the body. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of Quercetin to decrease the concentration of triglycerides on male wistar rat (Rattus norvegicus) which is given with atherogenic diet. This research was an experimental laboratoric with complete random design. The sample consist of 25 rats divided into 5 treatment groups, P0 (negative control), P1 (positive control), P2 (atherogenic diet + quercetin 14 mg/day), P3 (atherogenic diet + quercetin 28 mg/day), P4 (atherogenic diet + quercetin 56 mg/day). The result of this research showed the highest concentration of trigliserida could be found in atherogenic diet group treatment (176.25±11.67 mg/dl), whereas the lowest concentration is obtained by atherogenic diet + quercetin 56 mg/day (119.25±8.96 mg/dl). The result of the statistical test showed there is a significantly different between quercetin dose (P=0.0001, R=0.781). The conclusion of this research was quercetin decrease triglycerides level on the rats which were given atherogenic diet, and quercetin dose 56 mg/day was the effective dose to decrease triglycerides near normally level.

Perbedaan Tingkat Konsumsi Zat Besi Terhadap Kejadian Anemia Pada Remaja Putri

Anemia in adolescent health is still a problem in the community if the prevalence of more than 15%. In Indonesia there are four main nutritional problem is one of nutritional anemia. The purpose of this research is to know the difference between level of consumption of iron anemia with genesis young women in SMAN 1 Karang Intan Banjar Regency. This study uses an observational analytic study using cross-sectional design. Samples were taken on a total population of 70 young girls. The statistical test used is the T-test with sig = 0.000 <0.05. can be concluded that there is a difference between the level of iron consumption with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls in SMAN 1 Karang Intan Karang Intan Subdistrict, Banjar Regency. Based on the above results can be suggested to an educational institution in order to participate in prevention efforts and prevention of anemia in adolescent girls, for instance by doing counseling for school junior or senior high school about anemia.

Jambu Biji Merah (Psidium Guajava Lynn) Terhadap Kadar Asam Urat Darah Pada Ayam Broiler Hiperurikemik

Gout is one of arthritis type relating to hyperuricemic condition. Some researches in west countries indicated that gout prevalence and incidence tend to increase in past years. In other side, the used of drug has side effect of increasing renal and cardiovascular disease. Red guava (Psidium guajava Lynn) potential to be used for gout therapy. Red guava contains antioxidant having effect of inhibiting xantin oxidase activity. To study effect of red guava juice on blood uric acid level of hyperuricemic chicken Twenty five male broiler chickens as experimental animal were raised since 2 days old. When they were 18 days, they were put into battery cage and divided into 5 groups. Standart feed and drink were administrated ad libitum. All group were conditioned hyperuricemic with high purine diet. After hyperuricemic condition was reached, group 1, 2, and 3 were administrated with red guava juice with 5, 10, and 20 ml/kgBW dosages. Group 4 was positive control group (20 mg/kgBW allopurinol), while group 5 was negative control group (hyperuricemic condition, without administration of red guava juice or allopurinol). Blood sample was taken to examine uric acid level at day-0 (before treatment), 8 (after high purine diet administration), and 17 (after red guava juice administration). Results of examination were analyzed statistically using one-way ANOVA followed with post hoc LSD with 95% confidential interval (p=0,05). The results indicated that administration of red guava juice group underwent significant decrease in post-test blood uric acid level compared with pre-test blood uric acid level. red guava juice can decrease uric acid level in the blood of hyperuricemic broiler chicken.
